About Me

Saxknowledge.com was started in 2009 by Atlanta saxophonist/composer Jason Passmore. Jason has been in the Atlanta music scene for over 16 years playing many styles of music from classical,jazz to rock and R&B to Latin music. As a performer, Jason has played in various ensemble and groups in Atlanta and around the country. He has shared the stage or recorded with many local, national and international artists. He's performed with Speech of Arrested Development, Debbie Gibson, Lizz Wright, Chris Potter, Scott Wendholt, The Four Freshman, Michael Abene, Ronnie Cuber and many others. Locally, Jason has performed in the majority of the clubs and festivals in Atlanta, including the Atlanta Jazz Festival (1998-2008, various groups) and the Atlanta Montreau Music festival. He has had the opportunity to perform in various Latin, R&B, rock and electronic bands. Jason has performed in various chamber groups, including theatre productions of "Groucho Marx", "A Grand Night for Singing","Parade" “Grease”and "Jekyll & Hyde". He has also performed with the Cobb and Rome Symphony Orchestras.


The goal of Saxknowledge.com is to provide aspiring saxophone and other woodwind students of all ages the tools and the information needed to become a successful musician/artist. As an educator, Jason has had many students to go and achieve great success in the musical journeys. Some of Jason's students have earned Superior ratings at festivals and solo/ensemble events. Some have even earn successful placement in different honor bands around the state of Georgia.
